What a year 2021 has been! We'd like to give a very special thank you to you, our volunteers, for continuously ensuring that our efforts in conservation, protection, and restoration are successful! 

To celebrate and recognize all of your hard work, on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, we are hosting our annual Volunteer Appreciation event at Westminster Ponds! We'll also be holding the awards ceremony for the Out for the Count: BioBlitz Fundraiser later in the evening.

This event will be held outdoors at the Westminster Ponds Centre. A BBQ dinner will be provided followed by the live musical talents of Ian Bell, the Out for the Count awards ceremony, and Bake Vibes ice cream for dessert! 

It is highly recommended to bring your own lawn chair for sitting and some lawn games for some outdoor fun. Outdoor lighting will be provided as the sun begins to set so that we can keep the party going! If you happen to have any portable outdoor lighting available, we would greatly appreciate it if you brought it along with you.

Schedule

6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - Volunteer appreciation dinner with live music provided by Ian Bell at 6:45pm.

7:00 pm to 7:30 pm - Out for the Count: BioBlitz awards and wrap-up announcement. Desserts will also be served from 7:00 pm onwards.

7:30 pm to 9:00 pm - Time to chat, play lawn games, and celebrate! 

If you can make it to this event, please RSVP below to confirm your spot, and let us know if we'll be seeing you for just the volunteer appreciation dinner, or if you're staying for the BioBlitz awards ceremony and socializing as well. 

This event is subject to COVID-19 guidelines at the time. Please ensure that you practice social distancing and masking. Passing the COVID-19 screening questionnaire and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 will be mandatory to attend the event. To help with flow of traffic at the event please try to complete the questionnaire before you arrive and have a copy of your vaccination certificate available.
