Come join stewardship staff in managing this persistent invasive species - Purple Loosestrife!
We need your help. Dense patches of Purple Loosestrife have been under management at Newport Forest over the past eight years, yielding positive results. Continued follow-up treatment is necessary to exhaust the seedbank and eradicate the population. Volunteers will be performing a proactive approach in controlling this plant by removing the seed heads of these pesky plants. This event requires working on uneven terrain and climbing over a fence.
