10:30am – 11:30am  Gardening Myths ‘Turning Wisdom on its Head’ – Robert Pavlis

Robert Pavlis dives deep into traditional gardening advice and debunks myths and misconceptions abound!   Program covers a wide range of topics including tree planting, shade plants that grow in the sun, fake weed killers,  home remedies that work and don’t work,  using fungi to make soil better, composting and much more!

12:00pm – 1:00pm  Weeds “Let’s get them under Control” – Amy Turnbull

 Amy will discuss the many uses for weeds, and how to control these pesky plants.  Including identifying which weeds you can eat!  If you would like to learn how to keep your weeds at bay you won’t want to miss this interesting discussion.

1:30pm – 2:30pm  Climate Realities “Extreme Gardening” – Linda Armstrong

Linda explains how warming trends, weather extremes, and new invaders are bringing more and more challenges to gardening.  Come to hear how our area will be affected and what you can do in your landscape and home garden.
