Passport to Nature: Geology and Geography of Southwestern Ontario

Join Desmond Moser, Professor in Earth Sciences and Geography at Western, to read nature's stories about the evolution of the landscapes now home to the Carolinian forest. Learn about common minerals and rocks, and how they got here. Hear about how regional climate and tectonics have shaped the southwestern Ontario landscape and the distribution of prairie and meadow plants and Carolinian trees. Joany’s Woods, TTLT’s largest reserve, is located along the Ausable River in North Middlesex.

Registration for this guided trip is required and is subject to COVID-19 regulations at the time. Masks are only required where physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
