Join us at Hawk Cliff Woods on October 29th, 1-4pm, for an Adopt-a-patch workshop. If you haven't yet signed up to adopt your patch, you can do so here.
The Adopt-a-patch program aims to engage property stewards in ecological restoration by removing invasive species from their "patch" annually to protect surrounding habitat. This will lead to planting of the cleared areas with native species once the invasive ones have been kicked out!
At this event you will choose your 10m x 10m patch and receive a patch toolkit containing a bucket, trowel, garbage bags, work gloves, and garlic mustard information sheet. We will provide training in garlic mustard identification and removal, and you will have the opportunity to work on your patch.
This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine. Please come dressed for the weather and bring water and snacks.
