Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dianne Saxe, will provide an overview of her 2017 Greenhouse Gas Progress Report, Ontario’s Climate Act: From Plan to Progress. The Commissioner will summarize Ontario’s current greenhouse gas emissions, and discuss what the provincial government is doing to reduce emissions. Ontario has taken the important step of putting a price on carbon pollution. It is too late to just talk about the climate, what counts now is action.
Commissioner Saxe's appointment has focused on serving the Ontario Legislature, improving the effectiveness of the environmental bill of rights and catalyzing better environmental, energy and climate outcomes, for and with the people of Ontario.
