Hawk Cliff Woods Migration Weekends: Hawk Cliff Raptor Banding Station

Hawk Cliff Woods has always been a great place to view the fall hawk migration, which occurs along the edge of the cliff where the woods meet Lake Erie. It has also been the perfect place for Hawk Cliff Raptor research for many years. The Hawk Cliff Raptor Banding Station has been banding birds of prey during their fall migration to monitor the health and populations of these birds. Join Cyril Crocker of the Hawk Cliff Raptor Banders for an inside look at how banding works, its instrumental role in hawk monitoring, and some of the projects the Hawk Cliff Raptor Banders have undertaken to protect and restore certain bird populations.

This presentation will take place via YouTube and Zoom. The YouTube link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIGqNebkvlw. You must RSVP in order to receive the Zoom link for the Q&A period that will follow the YouTube presentation.
