Ready, Set, Shoot!
Photographers are invited to submit images of “Vistas of the Thames River” for the 2015 Thames Talbot Land Trust (TTLT) Photography Contest. The contest is designed to raise awareness and funds for the land-trust. The top 25 entries will be featured in the inspirational “Vistas of the Thames” poster created when the contest closes in the fall of 2015. On the lighter side of the fountain at night
Taken on an outing with club members of The London Camera Club as a learning exercise for night photography, submitted on behalf of James Bristow.
Opposite East Park golf course.
Follow the shoreline route east through Meadowlilly Woods ESA and you will reach this nice lookoff at a bend in the river. It is a nice spot for a picnic.
Peaceful Morning on the Thames
Early morning: there was hoar frost on the trees and mist rising.
Ponds near Thames
Many ponds provide water to the river Thames. This picture is of a pond on bicycle trail between Adelaide and Huron/William street.
Railway Bridge Over the Thames
Here's another one that was taken around sunset - a shot of the railway bridge that crosses the Thames near the intersection of Wortley Road and York Street.
Reflections of Blackfriars Bridge
Blackfriars Bridge is a wrought iron bridge that crosses the north arm of the Thames River. It was built in 1875 and is the longest bridge of this type in North America. It was during an out-break of the plague that Reverend Boswell stood here and tried to prevent travellers from entering the stricken town.
Riverside Reflections
I love driftwood of all kinds; sitting riverside reflecting on a very chilly Sunday.
Searching for a Rainbow
If you visit The Forks of the Thames on a sunny day, look carefully and you may find your own rainbow.
