Please come out and help us remove woody invasive species at Hawk Cliff Woods!

We will be clearing invasive species like Autumn Olive and Multiflora Rose from one of the meadow areas in order to make space for an outdoor classroom and activity area. We will be cutting plants at the base and applying herbicide to the stem. If you're uncomfortable using the herbicide you can do the cutting only.

Training and safety equipment will be provided. Please wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes (no shorts or sandals!) as the plants have thorns. If you have a pair of rubberized gloves please bring them. Leather or cotton gloves are not suitable. 

Due to the use of herbicides and sharp tools this event is not suitable for children.
