Thames Talbot Land Trust is excited to announce Nature for Nurture, a new program delivered in partnership with CMHA Middlesex and made possible with a grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Nature for Nurture will involve a series of Mood Walks and stewardship outings to TTLT properties, and has the dual purpose of improving ecological health of natural areas and boosting the well-being of participants.
Mood Walks is a province-wide initiative that promotes physical activity in nature, or “green exercise,” as a way to improve both physical and mental health. The Mood Walks will take place at Westminster Ponds in London. Stewardship outings involve bus trips to TTLT properties to do a guided hike and participate in some on-the-ground conservation work, such as seed collection, vegetation monitoring, and invasive species pulling.
This is a free program and all are welcome to attend! The fall program will run every Tuesday from September 5th to November 7th.
