Blackfriars Bridge is a wrought iron bridge that crosses the north arm of the Thames River. It was built in 1875 and is the longest bridge of this type in North America. It was during an out-break of the plague that Reverend Boswell stood here and tried to prevent travellers from entering the stricken town.
